March 26, 2026
INLECOM Research Presented at ANT 2026
May 13, 2026We are pleased to announce that on 15 April 2026, TECNALIA Research & Innovation participated in the Cybersecurity for Artificial Intelligent Systems event in Derio, Spain, presenting work carried out within the WARRANT project.
WARRANT focuses on enhancing the safety, security, and resilience of waterborne digital systems, addressing the growing challenges introduced by the integration of Artificial Intelligence in critical and safety-relevant operations.
Cyberattack Scenario Demonstration in Waterborne Environments
During the session, Alberto Miranda García demonstrated a cyberattack scenario targeting an AI-based object detection system in waterborne environments. This scenario was developed within the WARRANT Living Labs, which serve as real-world environments to test and validate approaches under operational conditions.
The session highlighted how cyber threats can affect AI-driven systems, from data to infrastructure, the importance of security-by-design, resilience, and continuous validation as well as key challenges in ensuring trustworthy AI in critical infrastructures.
By developing and validating such scenarios, WARRANT contributes to advancing robust methodologies for secure and resilient AI-enabled maritime operations.
