January 19, 2026We are pleased to announce that on Tuesday, 13 January, SEAFAR had the pleasure of welcoming the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE) Ports and Inland Navigation Division to their offices and Remote Operations Centre in Antwerp.
Demonstrating Remote Vessel Operations
The visit provided the European Commission with first-hand insight into the state-of-the-art technologies and operational practices enabling remote inland navigation today, moving innovation from concept to real-world deployment.
As part of the WARRANT project living lab, SEAFAR demonstrated how remote vessel operations are already delivering safer, more efficient and scalable inland waterway transport.
